The Machine

Completely Bolt-Together. Four-Axis. Ready to Cut.

Mr. Gusset is a completely bolt-together, four-axis CNC plasma tube cutter designed for round, square, and rectangular tubing. Every machine connection is secured with standard fasteners -- no welding is required to assemble the machine structure.

It is built for real fabrication work. Slots, holes, notches, and cope cuts in square, rectangular, and round tube stock. The software and machine are designed together, so there is no file-transfer gap between generating G-code and running the job.

Typical parts cost: ~$3,000*  ·  Independent builder completed mechanical assembly in under 2 hours.*

* Cost is an estimate and varies by build. Assembly time is one reported result -- individual times will vary.

Four-Axis Layout
X
Tube-Length Travel

Movement along the tube's length. Positions the torch along the X axis of the workpiece.

Y
Lateral Torch Travel

Side-to-side torch positioning across the face of the tube.

Z
Vertical Torch Movement

Raises and lowers the torch relative to the tube surface.

U
Rotary Chuck

Rotates the tube in the chuck to access all four sides. Manual jogging in degrees; automatic surface-distance calculation during jobs.

Machine Footprint ~84" x 26" x 24"
Max Supported Tube Length ~5.5 ft / ~1.68 m
Chuck Capacity -- Imperial 1" to 3" tubing
Chuck Capacity -- Metric 30 to 70 mm tubing
Assembly Method Completely bolt-together
Supported Tube Profiles Round / Square / Rectangular
Torch Orientation Downward-facing
Unit Support Imperial & Metric

Estimated Parts Cost ~$3,000 (varies by build)
The Software
One App. Everything Mr. Gusset Needs.

Create common tube cuts by entering dimensions directly into the software -- no separate CAD model, no separate CAM program, no file-transfer gap between generating G-code and running the job.

Conversational G-code Generation

Enter your tube dimensions and cut parameters -- slots, holes, notches, and cope cuts -- and G-code is generated immediately without modeling each operation in CAD or CAM.

Integrated Machine Control

Jog, home, probe, and run jobs directly from the same application. No saving files, switching programs, or manually uploading G-code to a separate controller interface.

Graphical Path Viewer

Review the generated cutting path before running the machine. Visualize cut placement across all four tube sides and play back the path for confirmation.

Cut-List Workflow

Build a list of multiple operations across all four tube sides (A, B, C, D). Edit, array, rename, and reorder cuts before generating the final G-code output.

Project Save & Load

Save projects and reload them later. Build a library of programs for common cuts, tube sizes, and recurring jobs in your shop.

Offline -- No Internet Required

The full desktop application is designed to run without an internet connection. Buy once, use indefinitely -- with a perpetual-use license and no recurring subscription.
